I decided to enter the therapeutic massage field to provide myself and others a better quality of life by acquiring the knowledge and experience to make a difference. As a commercial cleaning contractor, I was all too aware of the aches and pains that hard work and stress can produce, as well as the toll they can take on a person's health.
I received my training from Advanced Massage Therapeutics (600 hour program) in Louisville, KY. I passed the National Certification Exam as well as the MBLEX Exam. I have also completed the Kinesio Taping Program and have been certified in the Kinesio Taping Method and am only the 5th practitioner in the state of Kentucky to achieve this certification. After seeing the phenomenal results which Kinesio Tape has accomplished for me and my patients I decided to step up and help other practitioners in the area who use this amazing product and became a local distributor since there was not one in Louisville, KY.
The purpose of therapeutic massage is to facilitate the body's own ability to heal itself. The first and most important step is listening to the client! The next step is providing treatment options including massage modalities during your session, as well as suggesting choices for independent quality-of-life improvements.
I also reached a milestone in currently being the only person in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to become a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner Plus (CKTP+). This great honor shows my commitment to my clients and their wellness as well as dedication to excellence in my field. Kinesio Tex Tape and the Kinesio Taping Method continue to provide exceptional results for those who have soft tissue needs where those issues and/or pain have interfered with and possibly restricted regular activities such as playing sports, picking up children or grandchildren, enjoying hobbies, and other "normal" things healthy people do on a daily basis.
